An intentional assistant program for driven, teachable people who want to build a real foundation in the beauty industry — one-on-one alongside an experienced stylist, with hands-on education and personalized mentorship.
About this position
This is not a 'busy work' position. Our assistant program is built to prepare you for a long-term career behind the chair, with structured exposure to the day-to-day realities of running a column at a high standard.
You'll learn by doing — supporting a senior stylist through their day, observing real consultations and color formulation, and taking on more as you're ready. Our goal isn't just to train assistants; it's to develop confident, capable stylists who can step behind the chair with purpose.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals willing to work hard, ask questions, and learn with humility and excellence.
Day-to-day
- Provide excellent customer service so every guest feels welcome and comfortable.
- Support stylists throughout the day to keep time management and workflow on track.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked salon workspace.
- Observe and learn — consultations, formulation, application, finishing, rebooking.
- Stay coachable: take notes, ask questions, apply feedback quickly.
Requirements
- Current cosmetology student OR licensed cosmetologist.
- A real passion for the beauty industry and eagerness to learn and grow.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and keep a clean, organized workspace through a busy day.
